Workshops

We like to call our workshops Urban Weaving Retreats- as we realize how important it is to acknowledge the time we carve out of our busy daily schedules to ‘retreat and learn’ in a group setting. What drives these  retreats is a desire to open windows in participants’ minds, from which they can glimpse other ways of thinking, being and doing. Our retreats are experiences of the creative, community-based, earth-centred way of being that EartHand represents, and as such, can be cumulatively transforming over time. An Urban Weaving Retreat is an initiation for some, and a filling up of the well for others.

Here is what a few of our participants had to say about the weaving retreats:

This was the fourth workshop for me as part of the weaving retreat series. Rebecca is a knowledgeable and charismatic facilitator and I have appreciated all her teachings that always come across with a beautiful simplicity that is also transcendent.

Thank you Rebecca and Sharon for the very relevant work you are doing that not only has helped me strengthen my capacity to connect deeper with the local natural surroundings, but has also empowered me in experiencing that this is what we are innately wired to do as healthy and realized human beings.

Sharon is generous with her knowledge and with sharing her skills. I learn so much at her workshops and always come home with new eyes for seeing how to put to use what is growing on my urban doorstep

…It is so wonderful to be discovering that fibre is growing everywhere around me, in my garden, on my street, in my community, and learning these simple techniques for harvesting and creating with it! EartHand is an inspiration.
