Caitlin ffrench will be walking you through the steps to naturally dye protein fibres using the ecoprint method. (Using silk scarves in the demo, but this method would work with wool as well)
We will be working with homegrown plants, wildcrafted plants, and ethically sourced plants (and cochineal bugs) from around the world.
This demo will be like a cooking show- Caitlin will have prepared samples that will be prepared to show you all of the steps of ecoprinting between preparing your fabric and a completed dye project.
Register here to hold your spot!
The cost is $1 (cad) to reserve your spot, and after the demo you will be asked choose the amount you would like to pay (either $5, $25, or $50 cad)
Caitlin will also be discussing the health and safety of using natural dyes, as well as the ethics of wildcrafting plants from within your landbase.
This will be a 2 hour online demonstration hosted on Zoom.
Two days before the class you will be emailed a Zoom meeting ID and Password to join the demo, as well as the handout for the demo.
The demo starts at 5pm (PST) sharp.
