Yes, those moth eaten and shrunken sweaters can be remade into enviable fashion pieces.
Max 8 online participants will be assisted virtually by Sharon Kallis in beginning their sweater cut-work project.
Program Materials and Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 pre-shrunk old wool sweater finer weight preferable but old boiled wool works too. Note: sweaters with any other fibre blended in wool may not felt enough through washing for this process.
- Scissors or snips- sharp tip required, spring loaded style is best. Small, thread-cutting scissors are generally better than large fabric cutting scissors for this repetitive work.
- Computer or phone camera capacity to participate in workshop
- Ability to participate online via the Zoom platform
*A note about donations- Sharon has waived artists fees for the Wardrobe Hack series and is instead encouraging donations towards future EartHand programming by those that are currently financially able. These donations will help replace the lost 2020 earned revenue that supports future free programming.
