What materials have you stock piled over the summer or are looking to harvest this fall? This guild cohort is a chance to have 4 sessions online together led by Nicole who will be warping up a small, easy to make loom for Salish-Style weaving. Guild members are welcome to follow Nicole’s lead for weaving a small tapestry like sampler or go off on personal weaving tangents they bring back to show and inspire the group. Some weaving experience is a definite asset, or spend time beforehand learning the twining technique.
Participants need to have a computer or phone with camera options and wifi access in order to participate. Sessions held over Zoom.
First session- loom making options and warping
Second session- twining technique refresher, what materials or colours are you exploring in your work?
Third session- patterning ideas
Fourth session- cutting off the loom and finishing.
2 weeks between each session is personal time for working on your weaving and idea development based on inspiration from group discussion

Loom: small wooden frame or multi-layer cardboard frame pre-made and ready to warp first session is preferable.
