A night for fleece mordanting as well as preparation for the melon basket weaving day – or bring your own project.

If you have never gardened with us at MOP before, this is a great time to become oriented to the garden and join our stewardship team for regular Wednesday night garden times.

Auction will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 1pm followed by the pop up fleece shop.

2:30-4pm- Spinners & Mender’s Circle and Textile Show & Swap: a facilitated show and swap, part crafter’s circle with space for oohhs and ahhs and trades. Do you have yarn or unspun roving or fleece you would like to destash, while maybe taking home something that ignites some fresh excitement? Maybe you have left over spun yarn from a project and would like that yarn to find a new maker.  Bring your yarns, notions, and unspun fibre as barter currency as well as any beloved but not needed sweaters or handmade garments you would like to find a new custodian. This event is nestled in with EartHand’s Wooly Weekend, and takes place after the fleece auction and pop-up shop.

The full day’s events begin at 1pm. Plan to come early.

Registration is only required for the Spinners & Mender’s Circle and Textile Show as seats are limited.

Join for time honouring the gifts of fireweed- harvesting stalks, drinking fireweed tea, and if we have our timing right, the fireweed fluff will be perfect for collection too. This event runs over the dinner hour, we invite participants to bring a simple sharing dish/offering towards a potluck meal.
